Details

3-amino-1-propanol is a commonly used pharmaceutical intermediate for the synthesis of cyclophosphamide, cardiacidine and other drugs, as well as the synthesis of DL-panthenol. The conventional method is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of β -hydroxypropanitrile. β -hydroxypropanitrile, Rainy nickel, ethanol and ammonia are added into the autoclast for reaction. The purity of 3-amino-1-propanol obtained is more than 95% and the yield is nearly 60%. In 2004, SylviePicard and other Chemicalbook researchers synthesized 3-amino-1-propanol from DMSO and dichloromethane, resulting in 98% purity but only 12% yield. In 2007, Springgerta et al. synthesized 3-amino-1-propanol with ethyl 3-amino-propionate and 2-cyanoethanol, which also obtained high purity products, but the yield was still very low. The above methods have some disadvantages such as dangerous raw materials, low yield and harsh reaction conditions.
