2,3,3',4'-Biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride be used for the preparation of a polyimide material.
As a kind of high performance polymer, biphenyl polyimide has the characteristics of heat resistance, solvent resistance, radiation resistance, good mechanical and dielectric properties, and has a wide application prospect in the fields of mechatronic, aerospace, large motor, hydraulic turbine bearing, heat resistant filter material and so on. The polyimide with asymmetric isomer 2,3,3 ', 4' -diphenyltetracarboxylic anhydride (3,4 '-bpda) as monomer has higher Tg and lower melt viscosity than that with symmetric 3,3', 4, 4' -diphenyltetracarboxylic anhydride (4, 4' -bpda) as monomer. The machinability of the material was improved significantly. Therefore, the use of 3,4 '-bpda instead of 4,4' -bpda matrix resin has attracted more and more attention.
